Today was Sunday in Cuenca and so (as noted in the guide book), most things were shut. However we walked the town and saw most of the sights. Among other things we gained new insight into life through a visit to a house displaying antiquities, in various forms. Although the town is noted as being “the colonial jewel of the south” it proved noisy and eclectic in its architecture.
The broadband is very slow and so we have had to spend a lot of time catching up on photographs. Please note that we now have these in yesterday’s post.
Hoy es Domingo en Cuenca entonces, como dicen las guias turisticas, mucho está cerrado. Sin embargo caminamos la ciudad y vimos muchos sitios. Entre otros una casa de antiguidades que nos permitió ampliar nuestra conciencia sobre la vida (en varios formas). La ciudad es conocida como “la Joya Colonial del Sur”, sin embargo esta ruidosa y ecléctica en su arquitectura, lo colonial es muy limitado y esta bien oculto por lo republicano y otras formas.
La banda ancha es muy lenta entonces gastamos mucho tiempo actualizando fotos en nuestro “blog”; noten por favor que ahora tenemos fotos en el post de ayer.
