El miércoles visitamos Kuelap, las Ruinas de una Ciudad de la cultura Sachapoya, que existió entre el 500 y el 1100 D.C. On Wednesday we visited Kuelap, the ruins of a Sashapoya city which existed from 500-1100 AD.
Llegar a Kuelap significó transitar un camino similar al recorrido para Karajía, con tres diferencias: una, las Ruinas quedan sobre unos Farallones a 31000 msnm, por lo tanto la ruta siempre está acompañada por un hermoso precipicio; dos, quien conducía esta vez era la más inexperta de este pareja, muy interesada en comprender como se siente el vehículo en estas circunstancias y
en los diferentes terrenos, y tres, es una ruta con mucho tráfico
de taxis turísticos subiendo y bajando, además de caballos, ovejas y camiones, así que sin duda para Alan fue una experiencia única.
Arriving at Kuelap meant ascending a road similar to that to Karajía, however with three differences: 1) the ruins are situated at the crest of a mountain at more than 3000m, with the result that the road is essentially cut out of a precipice; 2) the driver was the less experienced of the two of us, very interested in learning the behaviour of a vehicle in these circumstances and in the different steep surfaces; and 3) the road is much more heavily travelled by taxis full of white-knuckled tourists, horses, donkeys, sheep, and trucks, with the result that for Alan the ascent was a unique experience.
Aquí su testimonio: “La subida fue por mi fue un sector muy tranquilo durante el cuál tenía la oportunidad de disfrutar el paisaje, sin ninguna inquietud con mi conductor. Sin embargo, cuando llegamos a la cima el piso del auto en mi lado, estaba un poquito hundido.”
His testimony as follows: “the ascent was , for me, a calm experience, in which I was able to enjoy the astonishing scenery, without any concerns with respect to my driver. Notwithstanding, when we arrived at the summit, the floor of the car on the passenger’s side was somewhat deformed…”
La ciudadela es un sitio impresionante y resulto para Alan muy similar a las Ruinas del Gran Zimbabwe. Les dejamos las fotos para su disfrute.

ReplyDeleteEn esta ruta no habían, cualquier "turkey" esta en el fondo del precipicio, pero en todas las ciudades a las que entramos, frecuentemente aparecen mandas de "Turkeys" por todos lados.
